Since August, Digify Bytes courses have been offered at local universities, colleges, high schools, youth organisations and community groups throughout the country. Courses are offered for free to both participants and host organisations.
“We’re really excited about hosting one of our largest Digify Bytes sessions to-date in South Africa. The goal of the #Get Digified event is to reach as many young people as possible, as we aim to tackle South Africa’s youth unemployment rate by up-skilling youth and enlightening them about the endless opportunities that can be unlocked with the use of basic digital skills,” said Sherry Dzinoreva, Program Director, Digify Africa.
Popular South African soulful quintet The Muffinz will play at the event as well as share their expertise on how the digital space has assisted them grow their brand and musical footprint across the globe. There will also be collaborative training with some of Johannesburg’s top bloggers and social media professionals to help facilitate the sessions throughout the day.
