Johannesburg, South Africa : Hosted by Candi & Co, the second annual Candi in the City party was held at the Capital Empire Hotel in Sandton on Saturday 3 October 2015. One hundred and fifty people were treated to cocktails, manicures, make-up, threading and hair styles while lounging around the luxurious infinity pool.
#CandiInTheCity is inspired by the Sex in the City movie franchise and aims to celebrate women and provide them with an opportunity to be spoiled in a relaxed and fun filled environment. It also serves as an opportunity for them to network and is fast becoming a highlight of the Joburg social calendar. Like Sex in the City, the woman are sexy, smart, confident and dressed to the nines. Special guests included, DJ Cosmo, Sarah Langa and Zenande Mfenyana.
“Together with our partners, we were able to spoil the attendees, and treat them with goodie bags and really amazing treatments, worth more than a thousand rand a person, but more than that, we were able to give them a really good time in a beautiful environment ” says Candice Thurston, managing director of Candi & Co.
“We were hugely oversubscribed. We had such amazing feedback that we’re already planning next year’s event. ” says Thurston.
Event partners included The Brutal Fruit party crew who provided their fantastic deejay, and kept our ladies refreshed with the latest customised Brutal Fruit cocktails, while Marc Jacobs Perfume made sure everyone left smelling fresh. Candi & Co. stylists provided the fun hair-styles using products provided by MoroccanOil and, while MUD Make-up made sure everyone were looking their best. Last but not least guests were treated to mini manicures by Candi & Co technicians.
