Feel good fashion this summer season; festival theme and 70’s nostalgia very prominent in ladies wear as Jet ups the ante in value-fashion
Jet’s Summer 2015 launches to the media on 26 August this year in tandem with its new concept flagship store launch in Cresta Mall, Johannesburg and a refreshed brand look. Jet’s collection showcases this season’s biggest trend call-outs in both casual and formal wear. The season is inspired by the festival look and 70’s nostalgia, with a strong influence of denim and neutrals, hints of fatigue and accents of fuchsia and soft teal. Yellow and white are a key for dresses this summer in both maxi and midi lengths.
“Festival and 70’s are this season’s biggest trends,” says Jet General Manager for adult buying, Marina de Wet. “Anything in denim and suede are this season’s most wanted item. We will all be inspired to wear beautiful paisley printed maxi dresses and skirts accessorised with a hint of fringing either in a bag or sandal.
Although the skinny jean will always be an essential ,de Wet says, the flare is back and will transition into Autumn next year. “White is the must-have denim colour this season and will become a classic in your wardrobe..” Shirt dresses and wide-leg soft pants in our resort wear collection will definitely be a favourite” adds de Wet
“Jet offers the season’s wanted items at unbeatable value,” says de Wet. “As the brand has grown and evolved the essence of who we are has not changed. However, as retail and fashion trends evolve it is important for us; rich in heritage with an energetic outlook, to evolve with the market and continue to lead the value, ‘Feel Good Fashion’ market segment.”
With the launch of Jet’s refreshed brand identity and the new-look Cresta flagship concept store, de Wet adds that the brands focus on ‘Feel Good Fashionfor Everyone’ also extends to the shopping experience. “It’s all about our customer. Our new concept store is based on our customer and what she wants and aspires for. It is designed to capture relevance, ease of shopping and provide inspiration. It is very unlike the traditional Jet and showcases our fashion in a way that it has never been before.”
