The Transporter Refueled explodes onto Ster-Kinekor’s five IMAX® screens around the country on Friday, 04 September, a week before its national release in cinemas on 11 September. This action-packed, thrills-and-spills a minute movie will have audiences gripping their IMAX seats as they are immersed in this high-octane adventure.
In France’s criminal underworld, a former special-ops mercenary, Frank Martin (played by newcomer Ed Skrein) is known as The Transporter – the best driver and mercenary money can buy. Frank delivers classified packages for questionable people… for a price. He lives by three rules: no names, no questions and no renegotiations.
When Frank’s father (Ray Stevenson) pays him a visit in the south of France, their father-son bonding weekend takes a turn for the worse. Things get complicated when a cunning femme-fatale, Anna (Loan Chabanol), and her three seductive sidekicks orchestrate the bank heist of the century – and the kidnapping of Frank’s father.
It’s all part of a grand plan to take down the human trafficker who victimised her years earlier. Now a pawn in Anna’s vengeful scheme, the former special-operations mercenary must use his covert skills to play her dangerous game.
Frank’s knowledge of fast cars, fast driving and fast women are stretched as he tries to outrun a sinister Russian kingpin. But, worse than that, he is thrust into a dangerous game of chess with a team of gorgeous women out for revenge.
